Sharon Osbourne spills King Charles’s reaction to her swearing antics | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV | Express.co.uk
She also admitted that she doesn’t reign in her infamously colourful language in front of the pair, despite Royal protocol dictating a certain reverence.
Giving a whole new meaning to swearing allegiance to the King, the TalkTV host has revealed that she is not averse to using blue language in front of Charles, detailing his surprising reaction.
“I’ve sworn in front of Charles plenty of times,” she confessed.
“He never says anything, he just looks and thinks, ‘Oh here she is’.
“He really is the most incredible man, and he truly makes the most amazing first impression,” she intimated.
Indeed, she and Ozzy have become so close to the Monarch that in September last year, Sharon revealed on TalkTV that King Charles had sent a letter to her husband when he was ill.
“When my husband got sick, he wrote to him,” she said. “He knows what’s going on in the world. He’s not removed.
“He knows what’s going on in his country. And that’s why I like him.”
Revealing the contents of the letter, she said: “He’s the same age as Ozzy and so he kind of gets it.
“He said, ‘we’ve done very well so far, and this is just a little hurdle.’”
Sharon is back in the UK at the moment as she will co-present a five-hour long TalkTV Coronation Watchalong with Vanessa Feltz.
Husband Ozzy will be missing the festivities in Blighty, however, as he is at their home in the US where he will be overseeing a move back to the UK after decades of living in Los Angeles.
The couple’s return home will be the subject of a new 10-part BBC series called Home to Roost.
Ozzy appears to be less than enthused by the prospect of uprooting though.
Speaking to People magazine in November last year, he said: “To be honest with you, if I had my way, I’d stay in America. I’m American now.”
