Gino D’Acampo ‘caught with cannabis by sniffer dogs at airport’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV | Express.co.uk

TV chef Gino D’Acampo, 46, was caught by sniffer dogs with a small amount of cannabis as he flew into the UK, it is claimed.
The star is said to have touched down at Farnborough Airport with TV co-stars Gordon Ramsay, 56, and Fred Sirieix, 51, after the group filmed their latest series of Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip.
Gino was reportedly surrounded by sniffer dogs after he touched down in Britain on Ramsay’s private jet after filming in Spain.
The presenter was allegedly given a warning after airport security discovered cannabis in a small box inside his luggage.
However, officers at the scene did accept the small amount of the drug was for his own medicinal use and not intended for anybody else, according to The Sun.
A source went on to tell the publication last night how Fred and Gordon who knew nothing about the cannabis, had been left “pretty cross” by the whole incident, which the paper claims occurred on November 29 of last year.
“Eventually, it was clear who the dogs were after, and Gino went away with uniformed police for questioning. It was Gino’s bags that were stopped and searched, and a small box with some weed inside was found.
“Neither Fred nor Gordon, nor anyone else on the jet, had a single trace of anything suspicious.”
“The next day Gino called Gordon and Fred,” the source continued. “He said he was smoking it to help his bad back, and he had been released by cops without issue.
“Both Fred and Gordon were obviously pretty cross at being caught up in the drama. Gordon, especially, has always been very vocal about his anti-drugs stance,” the source concluded.
Express.co.uk has contacted Gino and Fred’s representatives for comment, while a representative for Gordon declined to give a comment.
